What is the study?
This study, run by Dimension H&S Ltd, looks at what senior leaders in UK construction want from their safety professionals, and what safety professionals believe senior leaders want. It identifies where those views align and where they differ.
Why it matters
No published study has directly compared what Directors want from safety professionals with what safety professionals believe Directors want, in UK construction. Understanding the gap helps both sides work together more effectively.
Who can take part
Anyone working for a construction business operating in the UK, whose main role is either:

Senior Leader: general business leadership, for example Managing Director, Operations Director or board member.

Safety Professional: health and safety, for example H&S Director, SHEQ Manager, H&S Adviser or independent H&S consultant.
Whats involved

About the Researcher
The study is led by Melissa Fazackerley, CMIOSH, FIIRSM, Director of Dimension H&S Ltd, who has nearly 25 years’ experience in construction and manufacturing health and safety.
