June has been one of those months where you look back and think "where did that go?" Let's take a look at a day in the life of a Director

Between client work, building the business behind the scenes, and finally pressing go on some things that have been on the list for a while, it's been full on and I have been tired and overwhelmed but onwards and upwards. I'm ready for July.

This has been a long time in the making and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. The Coaching Dimensions Podcast is here. We've been working on the content, the platform, and the logistics behind the scenes this month and it's ready (well, as ready as it will be and we will learn as we go). It's covering leadership, coaching, mentoring, and the real conversations that don't always happen in the meeting rooms, or if they do they happen behind closed doors!

I've been really excited to welcome guests from global organisations and local communities alike.

A busy month for client work

June has been a solid month on the ground. I've been working closely with the team at an industrial roofing company on their quality management development including policy documentation aligned to both ISO 9001:2015 (with due consideration for 2026 anticipated changes) and the newly published ISO 14001:2026 standard. If you haven't looked at the 2026 update yet, it's worth your time there are some meaningful changes from the 2015 version and the transition clock is now ticking; of course, you can email: hello@dimensionhs.co.uk for more information and to have a quick chat.

Alongside that, I've been progressing work with a client who sits firmly on the London Metal

Exchange (LME for short) on their internal compliance platform, reviewing method statements, and working through relevant improvements for the business beyond compliance. We are talking best practice here. The kind of work that isn't always visible but keeps everything running properly.

I also completed a creditor claim following a client entering administration this month, whilst not the best news, it is a reminder that no business is immune to the pressures of the current climate, and having your processes documented and your paperwork in order matters more than ever when things get difficult. Of course, this was a learning curve for me to have my first client go into administration. I am still in the process now so more updates to follow as I know more.

Behind the scenes building the business

A lot of June has been about building the infrastructure that supports everything else. That's included:

• A full policy suite for Dimension H&S Ltd. Documents covering everything from business continuity and IT disaster recovery through to our incident response plan and a fully updated website which we love. Not the most glamorous work, but non-negotiable.

• A social media strategy across both brands, a content bank we can actually use, and SEO articles for the websites (I know SEO matters so here I am).

• Olivia, who joined us as Executive Assistant earlier this year, has been instrumental in pulling a lot of this together. Having her in the team is already making a difference.

We also had a minor cyber incident this month whereby a spoofed email sent using an employee name. Cheeky! It was caught quickly, handled well, and has already been resolved. Let me be clear there were absolutely no threats to the organisation or any data. At Dimension H&S Ltd we practice what we preach so we did a review and a debrief to learn lessons and get better. So I am almost glad a minor event happened as we had a real opportunity for improvement. Business continuity at it's best! A day in the life of a Director eh?!

I'm sharing this because it happens to businesses of all sizes and the lesson is simple: get your shit in place and challenge it.

Pipeline stuff

June has been about content and community. New leadership information sheets, podcast guest planning and preparation. The vision for Coaching Dimensions is a global one resources, coaching, and content that are actually relevant to the people using them.

So keep your eyes peeled for some more amazing things we are working on behind the scenes because we promise they will be absolutely bloody brilliant!

Volunteering

My role with IIRSM on council continues. As you may know I am quite new to the role so it is a great position for me to be in with getting insights into the business. As you might know, the role of a trustee is to 'keep the train on the tracks' with governance and oversight. It's been interesting so far!

The committee at The Safety Social have been amazing, holding down the fort whilst I have been super busy with so much going on.
